Discus fishes are large cichlids that experience been appreciated by aquarists and there are a large amount of different Discus cichlids to pick among. The Discus derives its name from its own shape. All Discus fish variants originate from what i read in the Amazon region in South America. They prefer lakes, deep puddles and decreased rivers and streams.
